The WP Virtual Islamic School is a project of Witness-Pioneer, an Internet based Islamic Organization dedicated for the study of Islam through authentic sources. The institute strives for developing a dynamic, knowledge-seeking community built upon a foundation of integrity and openness to the understanding of Islam. Recent developments in the Internet-based educational system has extended the boundaries of the traditional classrooms and stimulated the establishment of the WP Virtual Islamic School. It is a move to fill in the vacuum caused by the absence of enough number of qualified Islamic schools, especially in the areas with no organized Muslim community.
The online interaction among students and
instructors will facilitate learning from any part of the world. It will provide
a means to realize and appreciate the differences in social and cultural
backgrounds of the Muslim Ummah all over the world and, insh'Allah, may provide
a way to bridge the gap, a step forward to establishing a universal Muslim
brotherhood.
No degree or diploma program is planned yet. WP Virtual Islamic School is studying the feasibility of academic cooperation with the established Islamic institutes.
