











Etiquettes for conference (Chat) and E-mail Discussion
- The conference (chat) session will simulate the
real life classroom, therefore all the norms and etiquette of real life
classroom should be maintained in general.
- Students should start with Salaam and
introducing themselves as they enter the chat room.
- One student should ask one question
at a time.
- Teaching Assistant/Instructor will
respond to students on first come first serve basis and one person at a time.
- One student can ask maximum two
questions per turn, unless the TA/instructor allows him/her for more.
- Audit Student would not participate
during Office Hour. They can ask question to Teacher/Teaching Assistant through
E-mail only.
- As in real life classroom the
TA/instructor will be in charge and will monitor the discussion.
- The principal code of conduct will be
Islamic manners.
- Student should communicate with
proper respect to Qur'an and Sunnah.
- When one student asks a question, the
others should refrain from asking any more questions until the Teaching
Assistant/Instructor completes the answer.
- Discussion should be precise and
brief.
- During office hour, students should
not start any discussion among themselves. But if Teacher/Teaching Assistant
ask others to comment on particular thread of discussion, it should be in the
frame of advice, brotherhood, honesty and tolerance.
- Bad language, personal demeaning and
aggravated language will not be allowed.
