|
|
Dear Sir,
I have a question to ask on reading tafseer. some tableegh group told me that tafsser is not for normal people, so we do not need to read tafseer. one brother explained like this - when do we study PhD? Answer is - of course after school, college, etc. so similarly, we need to read or study quran or tafseer after I learn arabic and expert. but my point is - quranic explanation is must to know otherwise how we can know islam and so tafsser is part and parcel for a muslim to read. And so many tafssers are available in the last 1300 years or more.
Am I wrong? clarify me - I need to explain with proof and logic to my brothers who deny to study quran. they only said that reading - reciting is ok but not explanation. i really wonder how come we learn islam without studying Quran and Sunnah with explanations. even the few books tabligh brothers use to read are less authentic to me as these are written without the proper reference or usage of Quran or authentic sunnah. your lecture on Sunnah is really an eye-opener for me - specially the legal-sunnah and non-legal sunnah. Masahllah. Jazakaallahukhairun - for all the lectures and free course for us.
reply me please. _________________ Regards,

Dear partipants,
Assalamu Alaikum. The Tafsirs are written by scholars for use of common people who can not themselves fully understand the explanation of the Quran or its difficult part.No Mufaasir or Faqih has given a fatwa that the tafsirs are not for common people, not even Ashraf Ali Thanwi or Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi who are respected by Tabligh people.
It is not your duty to provide proof because every act is halal unless proved to be otherwise.Your tabligh friend has to give clear proof from the Quran and the Sunnah that reading tafsir by common people is prohibited or makruh.
